Brief History of BIF

1998 – Baku International Fellowship began as a Sunday School for children and an informal worship service for adults. The fellowship quickly grew and moved into the basement of Wellington Heights.

2000 – First Mission Statement and Statement of Faith.

2004 – Called our first Youth Pastor/Church Administrator and moved to Baku International School.

2004 – Registered with Government of Azerbaijan.

2005 – First Pastor – Mark Gorveatte.

2007 – Second Pastor – David Fortune and Youth Pastor – Joe Plante.

2009 – Youth Pastor – Dan Gilboy.

2011 – Third Pastor – Colin Benner.

2013 – Fourth Pastor – Martin Armstrong.

2016 – Due to BIS rebuilding, we moved to European Azerbaijani School and then the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Conference Center.

2018 – Current Senior Pastor – Tim Feather.

2025 – Moved to Badamdar Hotel & Residence due to construction at Hyatt Regency.
