We’ll begin the service with some updated news about BIF’s Reboot target date of the first Sunday of October (2 Oct). Please be sure to check out the ways you are needed to help make coming back together something that glorifies the Lord and ministers to the English-speaking community here in Baku!
Some of our teens got together earlier this summer and recorded a number of songs to help lead us in musical worship. We’re looking for more of you young musicians at BIF. Don’t be bashful! Tim’s message continues our look into Hebrews 12. This week concentrating on what it means to “fix our eyes on Jesus.” We’ll be looking at what Jesus taught Peter about keeping our attention fixed on Him.

We have some incredibly good news to share with you at the beginning of Sunday’s worship gathering. Be there!
Our musical worship will be led by Krista again this week. We selected something from the archives that focuses our attention on the infinite and perfect ways that Jesus touches our lives. He is a great and awesome God and Savior! Tim’s message continues our look into Hebrews 12:1-3. This week we consider what it means to “strip off the weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.”

We are going to be back online for a few more weeks. So please keep watching for emails and notices about when and how we will be able to begin meeting in person again. So for a couple of weeks, Tim is going to be taking us into Hebrews 12:1-3. “Fix your eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.” What does it mean to “fix our eyes on Jesus?” What does it do for us? The writer of the book of Hebrews is focused on the greatness of Jesus and how we as his followers can have incredible endurance by building our lives upon the heavenly vision of the exalted Christ!
Our musical worship is a reprise of some songs that Krista led us in a while ago. They focus our attention on “things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.” There is nothing better or greater to fix our thoughts and affections on!

We will be back online this Sunday morning with a service that features the Celebration of Our Lord's Communion. Tim's message is focused on 1 Corinthians 10:14-17 and we are trusting the Holy Spirit to open our hearts and understanding of all that the Cup and Bread represent to us. Just what are we saying when we say that we are "partaking" of the Lord's Supper?
Our musical worship is a reprise of a service from May of 2020! At that time we were amazed that we had been online for 17 weeks! The music all points us to the sovereign grace and goodness of our Lord.
Please be sure to have the elements ready for the conclusion of the service.

Today marks the wrap-up of our summer series of Worship Services. Tim will be speaking about how the forgiveness that God offers us is so connected to our willingness to forgive others. When we pray, "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors," we need to be thinking more deeply and prayerfully engaging in real forgiveness of others.
Doyin and Wilson will be leading our musical worship today. The ending song today is by Mattew West and entitled, "Forgiveness." To get a preview of that click THIS LINK.

We are returning to a series of message that Tim presented back in the fall of 2020 and is entitled, “Fresh Encounters.” It is all about how this pattern of prayer that Jesus taught his disciples can refresh our walk with God in powerful ways. Today’s message is entitled, “Priorities: Who is in Charge?” based on “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Our archive is full of worship music led by Rhine and Krista. Today’s set is one that God has used many times over in our fellowship. “I Will Sing of the Goodness of God!”
The opening song this week is an old favorite of young and old “My Lighthouse.” CLICK HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQVVgNv3Dss for a link to watch and listen to a really energetic version of this song!

Today we are beginning to look back at a series of messages that Tim brough back in the fall of 2020. The series is entitled, “Fresh Encounters” and focuses on how Jesus taught his disciples to pray as a means to growing deeper in their relationship to their Heavenly Father. This is a pattern of prayer that Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount but Tim skipped over this when he recently was speaking on Matthew 5. Today’s message is entitled, “Person: To Whom do We Pray?” based on “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”
Tim and Dinita’s son-in-law has been leading the contemporary service at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas, USA. The musical worship is one of our favorites from services that the church in Wichita shared with us during COVID.
The opening song this week is “Graves Into Gardens.” CLICK HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWLm6z42Gk8 for a link to watch and listen to a really energetic version of this song!
“Apart from you, I have no good thing!”
