1998 – Baku International Fellowship began as a Sunday School for children and an informal worship service for adults. The fellowship quickly grew and moved into the basement of Wellington Heights
2000 – First Mission Statement and Statement of Faith
2004 – Moved to the Spirit for the first time, hired our first Youth Pastor/Church Administrator and moved to Baku International School
2004 – the Youth Group went on their first retreat to Alti Agach
2004 – Registered with Government of Azerbaijan
2005 – First Pastor – Mark Gorveatte
2007 – Second Pastor – David Fortune and full-time Youth Pastor Joe Plante. First Church Office in City Centre. First wedding at BIF.
2008 – First Youth Retreat outside Azerbaijan (Skiing Georgia). First Women’s retreat outside Azerbaijan (Tbilisi), First Men’s Retreat
2009 – next Youth Pastor, Dan Gilboy
2011 – Third Pastor – Colin Benner
2013 – Fourth Pastor – Martin Armstrong
2016 – Due to BIS rebuilding, we moved to EAS and then the Hyatt.
2016 – Martin & Helen returned to New Zealand and we started the process of seeking a new Senior Pastor
2018 – Current Senior Pastor Tim Feather and his wife Dinita move to Baku
